About Bhakti (Karla):
Beginning at the age of 16, Karla has been a lifelong student, practitioner and teacher of yoga and meditation. She remains ever curious about our multidimensional Self and the journey to our Self realization. Some of you might know her as Bhakti, a name given to her by her Guruji as a means to help
further develop her. The name/word Bhakti means devotion, a devotion that completely opens the sacred Heart. The energy of this name has brought her to the practice of Kirtan (chanting of holy names and words) and using sound frequencies of the singing bowls to elevate consciousness. For Karla/ Bhakti, the playing of the singing bowls is a sacred act. She receives guidance from the highest dimension of herSelf, that all who participate, receive Blessings and Grace for their highest and best good.
The offering of playing the singing bowls are a newer addition and a natural extension of my life long practice of yoga and meditation.
She studied with HH Sri Swami Satchidananda at the Integral Yoga Institute, received initiation into Japa Yoga, yoga teacher's training, cardiac yoga teacher's training, with HH Hilda Charlton, furthering her yoga and meditation studies, with Pandit Rajmani Tingunit and Susan Taylor at the Himalayan Institute, received board certification for Meditation teacher, at Kripalu, received certification for advanced teacher of therapeutic yoga, studied David Gibson's book and videos on sound healing among several other sound practitioners.
