Come One, Come All, for a fun, uplifting day of free activities to nourish the Soul, at the SUNY College Camp on Saturday, August 8th from 11am -5:30 pm. Rain or Shine! There will be a bonfire, singalongs, drumming led by Ken Langlieb + friends, storytelling, free psychic readings, a pot luck lunch, and a free ice cream sundae bar. Other activities include crafting our own version of a Tibetan prayer flag reflecting our True Selves and our dreams and affirmations for a better world. The highlight of the day will be a very special Sound Healing event by singer/songwriter Beth Patella.
Bring a dish to pass. There are also trails to explore, and a pond. Dress for the weather, and for the ticks and mosquitos!
Please Register at the Link below & tell us what you are bringing. There will be plenty of food, so don't worry if you have nothing to bring. Just bring yourself!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
10:00 Volunteers Setting Up
11:00 Tibetan Flag Making- Supplies included; with Ken Langlieb & Tom Landon. Tibetan prayer flags carry prayers on the wind. What mantras and affirmations will you add to our group flag for all to see as they enter our SoulShine Summer Fest?
11:00 - 1:00 pm Get a Psychic Reading from ISD Sanctioned Readers and Mediums,
12:00 noon Shared Community Picnic- bring a main dish, salad or fruit to share! There will be water bottles and special iced teas.
1:00 pm Storytelling, Poetry Slam, or Inspirational short presentations,with Theater Artist, Author, and Director, Barbara Gregson. These presentations are a culmination of Barbara's July 30th, and August 6th Class "Find Your Voice! Powerful Techniques for the Modern Presenter, Speaker, & Storyteller of Today.” If you can't attend the class, you are still invited to come with a short writing of yours to present for the audience.
2:00 pm Make your own Sundae Bar- thanks to Stewart's Ice Cream!
2:00 pm Pond Pontifications! Gather around the pond, socialize, meditate, talk about the meaning of life, soak up the sun.
3:00 pm Sound Healing Workshop! (In the Lodge) Come nourish your body and soul, as we bathe in the beauty of sound during these summer months! Sound is a vital energetic force, and Beth Patella, Certified Sound Healer, will lead the group through guided meditations while providing the uplifting, energizing, and revitalizing sacred sounds for your emotional and physical well-being.

4:30 Campfire Sing a Long- Ken Langlieb, Karla Sikora, Jim Sikora- Guitars, harmonium, singing bowls, drums- What might evolve from this combination PLUS YOU!!
5:30 or so- Packing up, moving out. . . Although, we have the venue until dusk, if anyone wants to stay longer on the grounds.
ABOUT Beth Patella. . .
Beth is a licensed social worker, recreational therapist, certified sound healing
practitioner, and seasoned performer and teacher with over 20 years of experience.
Beth has a bachelor’s degree (SCSU) in music and German, a master’s degree in
social work (SHU), recreational therapy (SCSU), and education (UNH), and has
received the highest certification in sound healing at the Center of Light Institute of
Sound Healing and Shamanic Studies in Chester, VT. In her therapeutic practice,
Beth uses animal-assisted interventions and sound healing as her two main
therapeutic modalities and is the Director of Animal Assisted Therapy Services, Inc.,
located in Milford, CT. Beth has led many workshops and lectures on integrating
therapies at prestigious institutions, including Yale University. In addition, Beth is an
adjunct professor at SUNY Delhi in the Applied Sciences Department. Beth is
proficient in voice, piano, and guitar and has completed two singer-songwriter
albums, which have earned very high praise throughout the music industry. Beth
resides on her small farm in upstate New York, where she raises and trains her
therapy animals and hosts her sound healing retreats while enjoying her
farm-to-table living with her organic gardens and livestock.
