About 30 of us shined up our souls on Saturday, August 8th, at the Soulshine Summer Fest! It was held on the beautiful grounds at SUNY Oneonta College Camp. What a magical day! Jaya & Diana led an opening ceremony & invocation. We chose from a smorgasbord of fabulous dishes created by our friends for lunch, and topped it off with ice cream Sundaes, thanks to Stewart's Ice cream. Barbara Gregson's actors entertained us with a very fun play (hats off to Willow Atkinson, Barbara, Darcy Nelson and Charles Sherrard, Diana told a wedding story, Tom led us in making an inspirational prayer flag (which now hangs in the lobby of the ISD Lotus Center), Beth Patella led a beautiful sound healing, and we joined her in some toning and chanting. Many people were uplifted by psychic readings and healing sessions. An Algonquin Fire Healing Ceremony, led by Kimberly closed the day. Special thanks the Future of Oneonta Foundation, who bestowed us with our very first grant to help pay for this event! And to volunteers who planned & helped to make the magic- Kimberly, Jaya, Story, Wanda Callagy, Marian Burke, Tom Landon, Dale Capristo, John Bee, Ken Langlieb- I hope I didn't miss anybody! -Diana Friedell, Co-Director

YOGA with Ron starts again on Fri. Sept. 11th! 1-2:15 pm
|
Yoga is relationship, our lives are a series of living relationships. In this 6 part workshop through a breath centered asana (physical practice), with Ron Zisa, a 30 year Yoga Teacher and Shiatsu practitioner, we will each discover our own capabilities, strengths, weaknesses and inner power. Mostly moving with silence and sometimes with sound we will move the body, focus the mind, increase breathing to open and build grounding, flexibility, growth both without and within. This is a holistic heart centered practice to help us face our day to day challenges.
|
Living through Grief Circle- with Ron Zisa Weekly on Tuesdays, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
|
Living Through Grief Circle:
Facilitated by Ron Zisa, this is an opportunity for participants to witness and share loss. We gather, we listen, we witness, we unburden our grief, we heal, and we live through grief. The circle is open to all, and meets every Tuesday at 1pm. Come to share or just to sit and listen. We find that grief comes from losses of many types.

October 3, 10am-4pm Free Retreat!
|
This workshop, based on the work of the Edgar Cayce material, introduces us, to our internal, two basic selves. One masculine, one feminine. Through guided meditation by Nettie Jean Scarzafava, Spiritual Teacher, and retired Judge, we will be acquainted with these internal selves, and become aware of their communications. These 2 selves are always communicating whether we are aware of it or not. Once we become aware of their communications, they can guide our higher self work with ease. Navigating the outside world then becomes a piece of cake!
Without efforting, we become trusting in our decision making process. Our confidence in ourselves increases and we are able to express ourselves uniquely, in truth.
This retreat is a free offering. Love Donations to ISD Oneonta are Welcome and help us to keep the doors open. Attendance is limited to 12, Register Now!
