“A Living Eulogy”

Telling people while they're alive how important they are to you. Waiting until a person dies and telling others at the funeral or celebration of life is too late.

We are holding our All Member Convention at ISD Oneonta on March 2nd, at 12 noon at the ISD Lotus Center. At this annual meeting, we review our accomplishments from the previous Fiscal year, and make goals for next year.  In our Annual Report, we review reports from all of our committees, vote our board members in, and vote on the proposed budget for ISD Oneonta's Fiscal Year 2025.  Our Fiscal year is going to change this year- It will run from April 1st, 2025, through December 31st of 2025.  In January of 2026 our Fiscal year is switching to January 1st, 2026 to December 31st, 2026 to be in step with our Chartering organization, ISD National.

Anyone can attend, but only members in good standing can vote.  We want to hear from you! It is essential to renew your membership here, NOW, and have your ideas, visions for ISD,  and your vote count!

Leadership Change

The Leadership Team at ISD is taking on a new shape.
Kimberly Winsor, currently serving as President of the Board, and on the Faculty, will be taking on the role of Co-Director, to serve alongside Diana Friedell, who is remaining as Co-Director and Pastor.  Learn more about Kimberly Winsor and the rich background and gifts she brings to us as Co-Director here- https://isdoneonta.org/about-us/teachers/.  A huge round of applause goes to Story Lucile Ducey, who has served loyally as Co-Director for three years and will be stepping down from that position.  Her creativity, innovative leadership & wise counsel helped us to navigate through the COVID shutdown, and find new classes and systems.  We are forever grateful to Story for creating a sense of belonging and community that sustains us and keeps us thriving at ISD.  Story will remain a beautiful presence, and Wise Counsel,  as a Minister, prized member of our faculty, Mentor,  and Psychic Medium, as she has been since she joined us in 2017, and will continue to serve on the adult education committee, ministry program with Diana, and she will step up to fill a seat on the ISD Board, when Kimberly goes off the board at our March 2nd Convention. Prior to Story, others who served in the role of Co-Director were Amanda Hoover, and Renee Ranke in 2020.
Jaya Buckland, ISD Faculty, board member and sanctioned healer has thankfully, agreed to step up to serve as President of the Board, as Kimberly goes off the board to serve as Co-Director. Jaya will be voted in as President of the Board at our March 2nd Annual Convention.

Introducing Our New Book Review Feature!

We're excited to introduce a new feature in our newsletter: book reviews from books in our ISD Library! Whether you're a lifelong seeker or just beginning your journey these reviews will help you discover fascinating reads that expand your understanding of the unseen world. Stay tuned for our first review in this issue!

"Growing Up Psychic" by Chip Coffey

Chip Coffey knows more about psychic kids than anyone else. He is an internationally known psychic and star of A&E's hit show Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal. Chip shares his personal story of discovering his gift at a young age and offers valuable advice for nurturing and embracing children with psychic ability. These kids are widely misunderstood, misjudged and misdiagnosed. Indispensable information is offered for anyone who interacts with these extraordinary youngsters---parents, educators, medical professionals, mental health clinicians, members of the clergy, paranormal investigators ---and adults who faced the challenges of growing up psychic.

~ Chip Coffey draws on his firsthand experience and the true stories of kids he has worked with and helped, and shows you how to:
~ Determine if a child is really psychic--as opposed to simply imaginative or seeking attention
~ Identify the different kinds of psychic abilities kids (and adults) might have
~ Gain control over when and how psychic information is received
~ Safely connect with others in the psychic community
~ Deal with skeptics and disbelievers

If you would like to read Chip Coffey's book, it is available for ISD members to borrow at the ISD Library in the Lotus Center. Books are loaned for a period of one month and can be renewed one time if there is no hold.

This past Saturday, Febuary 8th at our new center we attended the second session of the "Steps to Transformation" Integrated Energy Therapy classes, led by JoAnn Wormuth IET M-I and ISD Director of Healing. It was truly transformative. We look forward to seeing you at other classes there!

FEBRUARY CONVERSATIONS

This astrology forecast highlights significant celestial events from February 17-28, 2025.

The astrology forecast for February 17–28 highlights a powerful time of celestial activity, particularly with the Galactic Center and several significant astrological alignments. From February 17, the asteroid Apollo passes the Galactic Center, bringing creativity, healing, and visionary inspiration. A Grand Water Trine involving Saturn, Mars, and Vesta encourages softening rigid opinions and embracing a nurturing flow of energy until April 3. On February 18, the Sun enters Pisces, emphasizing compassion, imagination, and spiritual growth, while the asteroid Juno in Sagittarius asks for honesty and loyalty within ourselves. As the forecast progresses, the alignment of planets and asteroids in Pisces fosters a deep feminine energy, urging a focus on healing, cooperation, and spiritual vision.
