Come meet ISD's featured July artist in the Gallery, Joseph Goldfedder- artist, intuitive healing practitioner and medium. We will enjoy a wine and cheese reception and a presentation from Joseph about his process. He will also give auragraph readings to a few lucky people! An auragraph is a a channeled piece of artwork that is done during a psychic mediumship session. Joseph Goldfedder is a New Jersey based artist whose work is informed by a lifelong engagement with both visual art and healing practices. He received a BFA from the University of the Arts and an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University before pursuing a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College.

Participants will learn voice and body work techniques used by Orators, Bards, Actors, and Mimes of the past.

These techniques are critical to building your imagination, inspiration, and confidence when speaking in front of a live audience. You will also have time and guidance to write and perform an inspired reading, a true story, or funny story, rap, or poem, that you will develop and practice during the workshops and use in a final presentation at the August 8th SoulShine Summer Fest, at SUNY College Camp. Bring a piece that you choose, or have of your own in development! Barbara also has many pieces to choose from. Every workshop will begin with Body and Voice warm -ups

and playing Voice and Movement Theater Games.

These exercises will stimulate your imagination, open up your creativity, and help to give you a more expressive body and voice. They are great to use in the future to help you become more relaxed, confident, and inspired before any presentations you may give in the future.

Come One, Come All, for a fun, uplifting day of free activities to nourish the Soul, at the SUNY College Camp on Saturday, August 8th from 11am -5:30 pm. Rain or Shine! There will be a bonfire, singalongs, drumming, corn hole, hiking, storytelling, free psychic readings, a pot luck lunch, and a free ice cream sundae bar. Other activities include crafting our own version of a Tibetan prayer flag reflecting our True Selves and our dreams and affirmations for a better world. The highlight of the day will be a very special Sound Healing event by singer/songwriter Beth Patella- pictured below. . .

Living Through Grief Circle: Facilitated by Ron Zisa, this is an opportunity for participants to witness and share loss. We gather, we listen, we witness, we unburden our grief, we heal, and we live through grief. The circle is open to all, and meets every Tuesday at 1pm. Come to share or just to sit and listen. We find that grief comes from losses of many types.

This Wednesday Group is called an Oracle Group because we will be focusing first, on deep meditation for healing and renewal for ourselves as we attempt to reenter the world together.

Then, we will be seeking guidance, teachings and home work from Spirit together for all of us and our families as we move through this transition. This is experimental work with Spirit. We allow Spirit to direct us and present the teachings they want us to focus on.

We will record the messaging and seek the overall message as confirmed by the majority of the messaging.

The overall goal is to dissolve challenging personal and communal karma while we seek strength and guidance in creating a new chapter for ourselves as individuals and for our world.

We are told our spirit loved ones are not so very far away, and yet why is it sometimes so hard to get a clear connection and convincing signs from the other side? How can I be open if Mom is trying to get through to me? How can I close if now is not the time, or there is an unwanted presence?

In this practice circle, we will continue to develop our natural abilities to connect with departed loved ones, teachers and guides with ISD Psychic Mediums Story Lucile Ducey and Diana Friedell, and guest mediums.  This practice circle is open to everyone at all levels of intuitive awareness- beginners to advanced.  Come and be a "sitter" for mediums to practice with & receive messages, or come to practice and further develop your own abilities.  The more we practice, the more accuracy & confidence we get in delivering meaningful messages to others.

Practice your intuition this summer, with 30 year Psychic Medium, Story Lucile Ducey, and make friends with like-minded souls on Monday mornings from 10am-12 noon. The circle will be held at Darling Hill Farm, under beautiful pine trees, surrounded by colorful flower gardens and the gifts of nature.

We will meditate to strengthen our inner senses then practice giving and receiving readings.

What is the Institute for Spiritual Development?

It's both a metaphysical church and an educational center originally founded 49 yrs ago in Sparta, NJ. With the belief that all paths lead us Home, ISD is dedicated to helping each spirit walk their path with courage and joy.
