A spiritual practice is a commitment- a time to plug into life force vitality for renewal.  Finding the practices that nurture your body, mind and soul is a highly individual & changeable process. As part of this service, Ally Sutton-Pyle will take part in a unique Induction Ceremony into the Fellowship of the ISD Community, ISD’s version of “Baptism”.

Our Oracle circle gathers and receives Messages meant for the good of ALL every Wednesday at 1pm at ISD Lotus Center, and is led by Story Lucile Ducey and Connie Lull. Two important messages for our group at ISD were received by many of us in the circle this week:

1. Image: Children on a swingset; Message- Practice your daily work playfully, bringing light and fun, and a sense of ease, to your work and to all communications within your work partners.

2. In terms of your desired direction and goals, focus on what you WANT and attract it in to you. What you want is right there within your grasp. We often focus on what we don't want by picturing bad outcomes with our worry and then attract the bad outcome.

Our newly formed ISD Oneonta drum circle, Earth Beats, will offer a guided meditation, blessing of the seven directions, and a shamanic drum circle. Earth Beats, with co-hosts Tom Landon and Karin Murphy, is offering this event at ISD as an outgrowth of their shamanic drumming experiences with another local drum circle led by Suzanne Summers. Participation is open to anyone who hears this calling to them. If you have a drum, by all means bring it!

There is no cost and all are welcome, ISD members and friends. If you don't have a drum, we have a few at ISD Oneonta; we also have a bag of rattles and such donated by Suzanne Summers.

Living Through Grief Circle: Facilitated by Ron Zisa, this is an opportunity for participants to witness and share loss. We gather, we listen, we witness, we unburden our grief, we heal, and we live through grief. The circle is open to all, and meets every Tuesday at 1pm. Come to share or just to sit and listen. We find that grief comes from losses of many types.

Yoga is relationship, our lives are a series of living relationships. In this 6 part workshop through a breath centered asana (physical practice), with Ron Zisa, a 30 year Yoga Teacher and Shiatsu practitioner, we will each discover our own capabilities, strengths, weaknesses and inner power. Mostly moving with silence and sometimes with sound we will move the body, focus the mind, increase breathing to open and build grounding, flexibility, growth both without and within. This is a holistic heart centered practice to help us face our day to day challenges. Sign up for any one or all.

On Saturday night of the SHIFT NY Holistic & Psychic Fair, Join us at the Institute for Spiritual Development for a time to relax and tune in to the Spirit Loved Ones who are reaching across the veil from the Other Side. A short centering, relaxing meditation raises our vibration and makes it easier for our Loved ones in Spirit to meet us halfway, and bring us messages that your Spirit Loved Ones and Guides would like for you to hear at this time.
