* There is limited parking in the front of the building, by I-88 and the elevator. Lots more parking is in the back of the building, where there is a flight of stairs to climb and a hallway leading to our Lotus Center on the second floor.

You understand that everything in life has it's opposite. Going way beyond masculine and femine, hot and cold,  natural law and the rules of manifestation determine that as a grace lands, so does it's learning/challenge. The fine line between the two is only determined by perspective.  As we experience ourselves and others in new situations, keep in mind that we are all born from the same collective, we all have merit. With each effort we make to deepen our understanding or to expand our limits, compassion takes root and growth ensues. There exist so many flavors or colors of each thing that exists on this earth, people are no different, and to truly *allow yourself to feel* this can bring you closer to god - you can begin to know Peace on Earth.  

For those of you that want to know god, and to share Peace on Earth, please know that to truly be of service, one has to stand at the ready, and be able to embrace change. Grace flows like water in a river, and all one has to do is know thyself and allow things to flow from one thing into another.

Are you exploring your spirituality and finding a new framework for your beliefs? Many people don't want to be defined by old religious paradigms that they adhered to in the past. So the "New Age Movement" emerged- spiritual practices with a focus on self-empowerment, intuition, and a holistic view of the universe.

In this class, Diana will review the people and events which have molded the New Age Movement. We will discuss Trends in spiritual evolution and spiritual disciplines that start as far back as Hermes 5,000 years ago and end with a new religious movement called Eckankar. We’ll discuss the different roots which have molded metaphysical thinking—Transcendentalism, Psychic Science, Spiritualism with the Fox Sisters, Theosophy, Christian Science, Unity, and Divine Science, to name a few.

This class meets a requirement for the Ministry Program at the Institute for Spiritual Development, but is open to EVERYONE.

 Here's to a Successful SHIFT NY Holistic & Psychic Fair!

Spiritual Holistic Festive Transformation (SHIFT) took place, in its 20th year on April 26 & 27th at the Foxcare Center in Oneonta. There were 56 Vendors, who felt welcomed and taken care of by over 20 volunteers from ISD Oneonta! I am proud to announce that because of our efforts the SHIFT Fair has donated $5800 to ISD Oneonta.   It was a monumental task this year because of the new space- Special thanks go to Tami Barrows for the website development, publicity help, program and administrative efforts; to Kimberly Winsor for organizing our volunteers, and  invaluable logistical help.  Thanks to Connie & Doug Lull, Tom Landon, Story Ducey, John Bee, Susan Owens, Sali Dellysse, Carol Callahan, Chantal Doktor, Ken Langlieb, Dustin Robinson, Melissa Welch, Mia Welch, Pat Robinson, Dick, Sherry Barton, JoAnn Wormuth.  I hope I didn't miss anyone! Two Food trucks made delicious food, and were very happy with their business.  Attendees at the Saturday night gallery at ISD Lotus Center are still talking about it- Thanks to Dick Buchanan, Story Ducey, Adam Bernstein & Diana Friedell, the mediums for the night The vendors, readers, workshops and healer listings will stay up all year at www.shiftnewyork.com, if you need to contact someone you met there!

                    Open to all, join us as we seek guidance, teachings and homework as we allow Spirit to lead us through prayerful meditation and into deeper healings.   The overall goal is to dissolve challenging personal and communal karma while we seek strength and guidance in creating a new chapter for ourselves as individuals and for our world.

This workshop/retreat, led by Dale Capristo and Bhakti (Karla) Sikora, two impactful spiritual teachers, gives us a time away from time, and will create a safe container to offer practices which assist us in being centered, balanced and in harmony.  Through Singing bowls, meditation and more, we will be Aligning with our true nature, our birthright to be and shine our light. What is the Institute for Spiritual Development?

It's both a metaphysical church and an educational center originally founded 47 yrs ago in Sparta, NJ. With the belief that all paths lead us Home, ISD is dedicated to helping each spirit walk their path with courage and joy.

The Oneonta NY chapter of ISD was Lovingly created by Rev. Diana Friedell & her sister Rev. Sue Landon. We are now led by a powerful leadership team, and executive board.
