A very special ceremony was held to ordain JoAnn Wormuth into the ISD Ministry on Sunday, August 17th.  As part of the ceremony, Kimberly Winsor, Jaya Buckland, and Ally Sutton-Pyle received their Missionary Orders. Rev.  Diana Friedell and Rev. Story Ducey, Co-Directors of the Ministry Program, officiated. We celebrated these grand achievements with a lovely brunch and a beautiful (gluten free) carrot cake. Many thanks to Karla Sikora for playing the Singing Bowls during the service, and to all who helped with the service.

We are so saddened at the loss of our ISD sister, Rev. Renee Ranke, Minister, Psychic Medium, Friend and Teacher here at ISD.
She passed away on Friday, August 22nd, at 10:55 am, after a 2 month battle with metastatic lung cancer. Many of us had some precious moments with her while she was in the hospital and in rehab, over the last two months. Renee was invaluable here at ISD, was known for her compassion, glowing smile and intuitive insights, and her many talents have helped to shape our organization here at  ISD Oneonta.

What is the Institute for Spiritual Development?

It's both a metaphysical church and an educational center originally founded 47 yrs ago in Sparta, NJ. With the belief that all paths lead us Home, ISD is dedicated to helping each spirit walk their path with courage and joy.

The Oneonta NY chapter of ISD was Lovingly created by Rev. Diana Friedell & her sister Rev. Sue Landon. We are now led by a powerful leadership team, and executive board.
