Grace is a sculpture made by Otsego County artist Eileen Murphy, and stewardship of Grace is shared by a few people. Grace is on a journey around to different spiritual sites, so many can feel her graceful and powerful presence. Sunday, March 1st we will receive her at the Institute for Spiritual Development!

Living Through Grief Circle: Facilitated by Ron Zisa, this is an opportunity for participants to witness and share loss. We gather, we listen, we witness, we unburden our grief, we heal, and we live through grief. The circle is open to all, and meets every Tuesday at 1pm. Come to share or just to sit and listen. We find that grief comes from losses of many types.

Yoga is relationship, our lives are a series of living relationships. In this 6 part workshop through a breath centered asana (physical practice), with Ron Zisa, a 30 year Yoga Teacher and Shiatsu practitioner, we will each discover our own capabilities, strengths, weaknesses and inner power. Mostly moving with silence and sometimes with sound we will move the body, focus the mind, increase breathing to open and build grounding, flexibility, growth both without and within. This is a holistic heart centered practice to help us face our day to day challenges.

Sadhana 1-day Spiritual Retreat, w/Diana & Kimberly

Diana and Kimberly lead us in spiritual practices & techniques that lift us up, and keep us rooted & grounded in a heart-centered space, so that we can be the “eye of the storm” when it is storming all around us.  Come rest, renew and take a calm INHALE to revitalize your divine expression!

If you've felt a calling to be a Spiritual Leader, and see yourself as one who serves humanity by guiding others on their spiritual path, then Ministry at ISD maybe the path for you.  Rev. Diana, Rev. Story and the ministerial team will go over the requirements, and give us a sense of what it means to serve ISD and the greater community in this capacity.

As we know it, Chi Gung, also known as QiGung, is a practice of both energy work, mindfulness and gentle physical movements, or forms practiced to increase one's own health. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it bridges easily out of that tradition for anyone looking to feel better and work especially on their physical health. Typically those who build the daily practice experience more energy and clarity in their lives, and the propensity to build and balance their physical, mental or emotional health as well.

This is a two part class, Saturday, Feb 28 from 2-4pm,

Amanda Devore will guide participants each week through the techniques that support the experience of integration of holographic reality and quantum manifestation threading in the metaphysical teachings of the world traditions. Through this self experience and analysis of self talk, self image and belief in who and what you are we will dissect the beliefs that keep us from living in the otherworldly realms of bliss, magic and wonder through deep connection with nature and the true nature of reality, and immaculate conception.

It's both a metaphysical church and an educational center originally founded 49 yrs ago in Sparta, NJ. With the belief that all paths lead us Home, ISD is dedicated to helping each spirit walk their path with courage and joy.
