"What I learned from my Dad"

* There is limited parking in the front of the building, by I-88 and the elevator. Lots more parking is in the back of the building, where there is a flight of stairs to climb and a hallway leading to our Lotus Center on the second floor.

Now is the time for you to unleash a pure new expression of creativity and of the divine spark that lies yearning within you!  Optimism and hope are the updraft under your wings as you tap into inspiration and let yourself move freely into new territories with faith and excitement.  Attraction is high as you connect with others and tap into the beauty of life to co-create joyful new experiences.

It is a paradox of life that in order to create on new pages, we have to turn the page from the one before to begin anew. Whether symbolically, internally or perhaps in your physicality, -  there is the glorious invitation waiting for you to step into a version of yourself that feels like dying many deaths in order to achieve the higher platform of creativity required for your next phase.  Perhaps there has been a parting of ways or a separation of some sort. As you vibrate naturally upwards and outwards, know that the same light that fuels that, holds things together on the other levels, -all will be well! As the weight of the pendulum that saw you through past struggles returns to center, know without fail that it will also carry you to the other end of the spectrum into rebirth, relief and resurrection.  The phoenix’s ashes can become powerful fertilizer for new creation. Don’t be afraid to pick through the ashes and search for the gemstones that have been created from your suffering. The potent alchemy of the entire universe is charged and waiting here to help you if you but ask.  You will know you have found your most worthwhile gemstones when you feel the pulse of life through them, even if while grieving... and know them as the finer aspects of life.

Thank you, Cynthia Marsh, our June/July featured artist in the Lotus Center for presenting an engaging talk last Saturday and generating lots of discussion about her first UFO sighting as a child, and the resulting intuitive connections that led to her artwork.  Forty-two people attended and toured our new space at the Lotus Center. Karla Sikora provided an immersive sound bath experience with the crystal healing bowls before the talk, and John Houshmand treated us to beautiful guitar music during the wine and cheese reception.  Special thanks to Story Ducey and Meghan Stoner, our Art Display co-coordinators, as well as Kimberly Winsor, Jaya Buckland, Diana Friedell, Tom Landon and Sali Dellysse who brought delicious food & helped with set-up & cleanup for the reception. Come stop by to see Cynthia’s artwork of sacred geometry, which is available for sale now through July 31st. Check in with Story, Kimberly or Diana to be sure the Center is open when you plan to stop by to look at the artwork.

These ‘Metaphysical Summer School’ Circles

are hosted outdoors in a beautiful garden.

Coming Home Within: Divine Union Remembrance

In this series of four meditative healing Circles on ZOOM, facilitated by Amanda Devore, a Minister/Bandraoi and Spiritual Healer, we will gather in sacred relationship, bringing through the energies most needed for healing, inner union and liberation. Without a plan, we will surrender to the divine grace of the present moment and flow in co-creation listening deeply to the nurturing song harmonics of our higher selves and the group mind. We will rise together in candelabra unison to the divine union temple to then ground and grid the codes and energies into our being and the field.

Join us for this fun & empowering Drum Circle. Drumming is an extremely enjoyable way to enhance your wellbeing.  It is a path of healing that guides us into experiencing the FLOW of our mind and emotions so we may discover our inner self.

Come drum for the health and wellness of our planet and ourselves!  Bring your Shamanic or frame drum and join Karin Murphy, an ISD sanctioned healer, who will facilitate a grounding meditation followed by a shamanic influenced drum circle.

ISD has about six drums to share, if you don't have your own drum, but want to participate! If you have extra instruments to share, please bring them along.

What is the Institute for Spiritual Development?

It's both a metaphysical church and an educational center originally founded 47 yrs ago in Sparta, NJ. With the belief that all paths lead us Home, ISD is dedicated to helping each spirit walk their path with courage and joy.

The Oneonta NY chapter of ISD was Lovingly created by Rev. Diana Friedell & her sister Rev. Sue Landon. We are now led by a powerful leadership team, and executive board.
